April Showers bring May Flowers

At Whittington Bridal our passion and goal is to provide you (The Bride! :) ) with a memorable, enjoyable, and ultimately stress free experience as you find your dream gown and style your bridal party. We are hoping that through this blog we can continue to make the planning process a little easier for you with general tips and guidelines, as well as fun and fresh ideas for your perfect wedding!

When choosing the color palette for your wedding, remember-- Flowers are a big deal! They bring life to the wedding and can really set the tone of the whole event. Keep in mind that flowers can fulfill many roles- from simply adding bright pops of color to bringing in your own personality throughout the arrangements! My favorite is when brides choose to go unique with their flower arrangements by choosing an array of bright colors and varying the flower types. Check out this bride, Mica, and her amazing flower arrangements and bouquets that really added a bright and fresh look to her wedding.

Here are just a few of the things we LOVED about Mica’s flowers:
1.  All the bridesmaids had completely different bouquets- but they all tied in to the AMAZING bridal  bouquet
2.  So many bright punches of color
3.  Different kinds of flowers – everywhere!!
4.  Black and white color blocked columns at the church altar
5.  The ribbons scattered throughout the bouquets and boutonnieres to tie in the columns
6.  The lemons in the glass vases for the table centerpieces
7.  The mossy cones at the end of the aisles

I think what I like best about wedding flower arrangements are how they can reflect your style. Whether you are a classic bride with roses and peonies, romantic with hydrangeas and orchids, or fun and sassy with Gerber daisies and sunflowers, be creative and have fun with your flowers!  Yes, flowers are a big deal in weddings. But that doesn’t mean you have to stress over it! The important thing is just to remember—they are flowers. They are going to be beautiful no matter what. :)
