Hello, Chicago!

Happy Friday everyone! Last weekend, we traveled to Chicago to pick out all the beautiful Fall 2013 styles for our store. I wanted to give you a little sneak peek from Chicago Bridal Market to enjoy, so here are a few photos of some of our favorites from the Essense of Australia Booth. 1. Where did you get married?

We got married at Butler's Courtyard, in League City, Texas.

  

2. What was your first dance song?

"Better Together" by Jack Johnson

3. What was your favorite part of your wedding? 

This is a tough one.. Getting to become my best friend's wife, feeling beautiful in my dress, seeing all our relatives that we hadn't seen in years, my father-in-law's toast at the rehearsal dinner, the list goes on and on. 

4. What are you glad you splurged on?

 Everybody raved about the string quartet at the ceremony. I had so much adrenaline pumping through me during my walk down the aisle, that I hardly remember hearing it, but since everybody else loved it, it was totally worth it! 

5. What is your advice to future brides? 

Don't stress on the day of, this is your one day, enjoy it!

 On Thursday night we held our first beauty event with Adorne Artistry! All of our brides were treated to a night of champagne, hor d'oeuvres, and free hair and make-up trials for their big day.

We loved getting to catch up with some of our brides and seeing all the gorgeous hair & makeup results.

The new hairpieces and accessories from the  JOLIE tete  collection were adorable! If you missed this event don't worry, we are in the process of trying to get another one scheduled for the fall.

A big thanks to everyone who made it out to the event and helped make it so much fun! We can't wait until the next one!

Walden Country Club in Atascocita, Texas.

2. What was your first dance song?

3. What was your favorite part of the wedding?

The reception- when the ceremony, pictures, toasts and dances were done with and I could finally relax and have a good time.

4. What are you glad you splurged on?

The Open Bar and the photo booth!!

5.  What is your advice for future brides?

Have fun! And also, it takes a long, long time to do hair and makeup the day of! Make sure you start early enough where you are not rushing the initial pictures or running late, that almost happened to me. Also, make sure that the venue is only hosting your wedding the day of, and if possible I would advise anyone to hire a wedding planner to make your day a lot more enjoyable.

1.Where did you get married?

Ceremony: Westminster United Methodist Church; Reception: Hotel Sorella 

2. What was your first dance song?

 Our first dance was to "It Had To Be You" by Tony Bennett. After knowing my husband for 11 years, the lyrics and style of this song were perfect for us!  

3. What was your favorite part of the wedding?

The best part of the day was having everyone who had been an important part of our lives with us as we became husband and wife. The absolute joy of getting everyone together at one time to celebrate was worth every bit of seating chart, menu, and RSVP stress! 

4. What are you glad you splurged on?

Our biggest splurge was on the venue (Hotel Sorella) and flowers (Events in Bloom). It was definitely worth it! The venue was perfect for us and expressed our style as a couple, and in combination with our gorgeous flowers the reception was absolutely stunning. It was my dream reception space. 

5.  What is your advice for future brides?

After all of the planning is finally over and the day arrives, don't worry about the details. There will always be something that doesn't go according to plan! Sit back and take a moment to soak it in, because the day definitely goes too fast!!
